matte car?
Yes. But the wrong product will destroy your finish. Here’s how to
choose right.
First,
Understand: Matte PPF Is a Different Product
Regular PPF is glossy. If you put glossy PPF on a matte car, the
matte finish disappears — your car becomes glossy. Permanently, until
the film is removed.
Matte PPF is engineered with a textured top surface that diffuses
light, mimicking factory matte clearcoat. The textured surface is harder
to manufacture, harder to install (because every surface inconsistency
shows), and significantly more expensive than glossy PPF.
This is why genuine matte PPF starts at a price point that some
customers find shocking. It’s not a markup — it’s the actual production

Why You
CANNOT Use “Matte Lamination” — A Real Horror Story
In late 2024 a customer in Noida came to us in distress. He had paid
₹30,000 to a roadside shop for what he was told was “matte PPF” on his
brand-new Tata Harrier Dark Edition.
What he actually got was matte lamination film — the same low-grade
film used to laminate visiting cards and posters. It has no impact
protection, no UV resistance, no self-healing, and crucially, the wrong
adhesive chemistry for automotive paint.
Six months later: the film discoloured, started lifting at every
edge, and worst of all, when he tried to remove it the adhesive had
bonded irreversibly. The OEM matte clearcoat came off with the
lamination. He had to repaint the entire car at a cost of ~₹70,000.
Total cost of going cheap: ₹1,00,000+ and a brand-new car with a
full-vehicle paint history forever. A genuine Supreme Pro Matte install
would have cost him ₹50,000–₹60,000 and saved his factory finish.
This pattern is so common in Delhi NCR right now that we treat it as

for a sedan or SUV, walk away.
