What you should actually pay for PPF in India — and how to spot
under-priced jobs that will damage your paint long-term.

There’s a difference between “how much does PPF cost” and “how
much *should* PPF cost”. The first question gets you a market rate. The
second one helps you avoid the cheap installs that end up costing 3x
more in damage repair down the line.
After 5 years and 2,000+ installs in Noida, here’s the honest
pricing band — and the warning signs of jobs priced too low to be
real.
The Honest Price
Bands for PPF in India (2026)
For a competent install with genuine, branded film and a written
warranty, here’s what you should expect to pay in Delhi NCR:
Partial front coverage (front bumper + ~50% hood +
headlights): • Hatchback: ₹15,000–₹22,000 • Sedan: ₹18,000–₹26,000 •
SUV: ₹20,000–₹30,000
Full front kit (full hood + bumper + fenders +
mirrors + headlights + A-pillars): • Hatchback: ₹25,000–₹40,000 • Sedan:
₹30,000–₹50,000 • SUV: ₹35,000–₹60,000
Full body PPF (every painted panel): • Hatchback:

• Premium / luxury: ₹2,50,000–₹6,00,000+
These are real ranges. Anything below the lower bound is either fake
film or a substandard install that won’t last. Anything above the upper
bound is either a true premium product (XPEL Stealth, STEK Dynoshield,
LLumar high-tier matte) or you’re being overcharged.
What Goes Into the Cost
Roughly:

This is why a ₹20,000 “full body PPF” doesn’t add up. The film alone
costs more than ₹20,000 if it’s real. Where does the missing money come
from? It’s either fake film, or it’s labour corners cut so deep that the
install will fail in 12 months.
Red Flags You Should Walk
Away From
From years of seeing “price-fixing horror stories” walk into our shop
for re-do jobs:

warranty period in writing -
Shop unwilling to show you the original film roll with brand
stickers and batch number -
“Lifetime warranty” with no E-warranty registered to your VIN —
that’s a verbal promise, not a warranty -
“Imported PPF” without naming the country of origin or the
brand -
Installer working on the car outside, in a dusty open area, or at
a roadside garage -
Promises of next-day delivery on full body — quality install on a
sedan is 2–3 days minimum -
Discount of 40%+ versus other quotes — that gap can only come
from cheaper film
What “Cheap PPF” Actually
Costs You
We see a customer once a month who got cheap film installed somewhere
else and is now trying to get it removed. The pattern is consistent:

6–12 months in: edge lifting, yellowing, cloudy patches

12–18 months in: delamination — the TPU sheet starts separating
from the adhesive -
At removal: the cheap acrylic adhesive has bonded so aggressively
that pulling the film takes paint with it. We’ve had cases where
customers paid ₹25,000 for cheap PPF and ended up paying ₹70,000 to
repaint the affected panels.
The most extreme case we saw: a Tata Harrier owner in 2024 was sold
“matte PPF” for ₹30,000. It was actually matte vinyl lamination film.
After 6 months it ruined the paintwork. He had to repaint the entire car
for ₹70,000. Total damage from going cheap: ₹1,00,000+ and months of
hassle, versus the ₹85,000 a real matte PPF install from us would have
cost.
