Real PPF Cost in India (2026) — Detailing Shoppe Rates
For Supreme PPF — our best value-for-money brand, 5-year warranty, 190-micron 100% Aliphatic TPU with self-healing top coat:
- Hatchback (Swift, i20, Baleno, Altroz): from ₹30,000
- Sedan (Honda City, Verna, Slavia, Virtus): from ₹35,000
- SUV (Creta, Seltos, XUV700, Harrier): from ₹40,000
- Premium SUV (Fortuner, MG Gloster, Innova Hycross): from ₹45,000–₹55,000
For Garware PPF – which is higher priced than Supreme, but quality-wise both are same, pricing starts at 39,000.
For LLumar PPF — our top recommendation for durability, with up to 12-year warranty: pricing starts roughly 60–80% higher than Supreme.
For partial coverage — front bumper + hood + fenders + headlights — expect ₹15,000–₹22,000 depending on car size. This is what we recommend to most low-mileage city drivers.

What Determines the Price (And What You Should Push Back On)
Five factors:
- Film brand — 3M, LLumar, Supreme, XPEL, STEK, Garware, Saint-Gobain are all genuine. Anything unbranded or Chinese (NAR, Ultrashield, Bull Armour, Aegis) we refuse to install. They cost less, yes, but they will damage your paint when removed.
- Thickness — measured in microns. 150 microns is the entry. 190 microns is the standard. 210 microns is premium and what we use for high-impact zones like front bumpers. We have Supreme Infinity, which is India’s thickest PPF at 300 microns.
- Warranty period — 3, 5, 8, 10, 12 years. Longer warranty means better top coat chemistry and self-healing performance over time.
- Car size and panel count — more square footage = more film = more labour.
- Installer expertise — and this is where the silent price difference lives. A bad installer will waste 15–20% of the film roll, leave bubbles, fail to wrap edges properly, and the job will need redoing in 18 months.
Is It Worth the Price? Let’s Do the Math.
A new mid-range SUV in 2026 in India costs ₹15–25 lakh. Forget abstract “worth it” arguments. Look at four real numbers:
- Repaint of one door at an authorised service centre: ₹8,000–₹15,000
- Full bumper repaint: ₹10,000–₹18,000
- Insurance claim for cosmetic damage: 1 NCB lost = ₹15,000–₹40,000 depending on premium
- Resale value loss on a car with paint history: 8–12% on the asking pr

Across 5 years of city driving in Delhi NCR, a typical sedan picks up at least 3–5 minor incidents — rickshaw scrapes, parking dings, bike handlebars in tight markets, expressway stone chips. Even one of those incidents pays for partial PPF. Two pay for a full body.
And that’s just the financial math. It doesn’t count weeks of car downtime at the service centre, the hassle of insurance, or the way a repainted panel never quite matches OEM.
When PPF Is NOT Worth It — Honest Take
We will tell you when PPF doesn’t make sense, because we’d rather have a customer for life than upsell once.

- Cars older than 6–7 years where the existing paint isn’t healthy enough for PPF to bond well
- Cars you plan to sell within 12 months — the cost won’t be recovered in resale
- Daily-driver hatchbacks under ₹6 lakh — partial coverage + ceramic coating is smarter
- Garage-kept weekend cars driven once a week — only impact zones need PPF, not full body
For most other cars in Delhi NCR — yes, it’s worth it. The cost of the film is less than the cost of the first incident. If you want to know whether PPF coating in Noida is the right choice for your car or not, you can contact the team at ‘Detailing Shoppe’ for expert advice.
Watch Out for These Pricing Traps
- “Full body PPF for ₹20,000” — physically impossible with real film. You’re getting fake.
- “Free ceramic with PPF” — almost always a ₹2,000 spray-on, not a real coating.
- Quotes that don’t specify brand, thickness in microns, and warranty in writing.
- Shops that won’t let you see the original film roll with brand stickers and batch number.
We hand every customer a brand E-warranty certificate registered to their VIN, photos of the original sealed roll, and a written invoice listing brand, thickness, warranty, and coverage area.
